6 days Marrakech – Oriental magic like from a fairy tale book. On the square of the jugglers, storytellers, fortune tellers, and miracle healers as ever for the favor of the audience. In the souks, the old market districts, it smells seductively of mint, cumin, and cedarwood, and craftsmen balance between the Middle Ages and modernity. A place where every navigation device comes to its limits. You will find your way through the maze of alleys with your local guide, he knows the tricks of the merchants as well as the secrets of Islamic art and opens the hidden gates to oases of peace for you. A visit to the magical Atlas Mountains and the Agafay desert will complete the magic of your Marrakech holiday.

Exploring the red city

Explore the Wonders of the Orient Through the old city gate Bab Agnaou, our way leads to masterpieces of Islamic art – the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace.

Afterwards, we dive into the colorful world of the souks: your guide takes you through a labyrinth of alleys where 1001 smells, sounds, and seductions await, and invites you to a crash course in haggling. And there is also time for a look into the courtyards, where oases of peace are often hidden: a garden, rippling fountains, an art gallery. At the end of our sightseeing, the Djemaa el-Fna, the place of the jugglers, opens up in front of us. From the terrace of one of the many cafés, we have the box view of the spectacle of miracle healers, snake charmers, henna makers, and food stall masters. Of course, with a Thé à la Menthe, the Moroccan mint cake, in hand.

Gardens and Souks

In the morning we experience the Jardin Majorelle – a blue-green jewel to which the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent left his mark.

Creations of the master, inspired by the bright colors of Marrakech, fascinate us in the museum next door. Then we follow the hammering of the forge once again into the souks and look at the skillful fingers of craftsmen who cherish and cultivate ancient techniques. Moroccan handicrafts in perfection await us finally in the Musée de Marrakech. The rest of the afternoon is yours - for exploring or shopping on your own.

Exploring the Atlas Mountains

Enjoy a comfortable private transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, which takes about one and a half hours. Imlil Valley sits at the foot of Mount Toubkal and is the starting point for many treks in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll pass through the town of Tahnaout, where you can stop at the Argan Oil Cooperative. Learn how the woman-based collective transforms the Argan nut into many of the different oil-based products.

Continue through Asni, an important city for the region. Every Saturday, the surrounding communities rely on their traditional Berber souk (market) to trade goods and stock up on food.

Upon arrival in Imlil, enjoy a glass of mint tea with your guide before starting your easy hike to Armed, the highest and the biggest village in Imlil Valley. Armed is a traditional Berber village with authentic farming techniques and building structures.

Spend some time with a Berber family as you hike down through the village of Ait Souka. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal in the family's guesthouse, which is your accommodation for the night.
