The highest point in North Africa, the Toubkal is surrounded by giant buttresses, none of which drops below 3000m. There is no lack of entry routes, and this massif is the most accessible in the High Atlas, near Marrakech and its medina. This weeklong hike is a real altitude trek. Flight to Marrakech. Reception at the airport and transfer to your riad. Free time for sightseeing and dinner.
Departure by vehicle for Oukaimeden (2550m), meeting with the mule team, picnic. Beginning of the hike via the tizi n'Eddi pass (2928m). Descent and installation of the bivouac facing the village of Tachdirt (2300m), night in tents (2h road).

Winding up towards the Tizi n'Likemt (3500m), we are already in the high mountains, with a panoramic view over the Haouz plain to the north-west and to the south on the crest of the majestic djebel Taroukht. Descent towards the azibs n'Likemt at 2500m, very isolated and lively sheepfolds throughout the summer period, continuation through the valley of Assif Tinzart, isolated bivouac at the edge of the stream (2700m).

High mountain atmosphere, crossing the arid pass of Tizi n'Ouraï (3109m). Long descent to the village Amsouzert (1800m), one of the largest villages in the Tifnout valley. Continuation of the hike to cross the moraine of Lake Ifni, installation of the bivouac at the edge of the lake. Superb circus formed by an old glacier. Night in a tent at 2300m.

Long climb by a pretty, slightly steep mule track, rearranged every year after the snow melts. In a magnificent high mountain setting, passage to the Tizi Ouanoums pass (3650m), short descent and bivouac near the Neltner refuge (3105m). Night in tent.

Early in the morning, the ascent of the highest peak in North Africa is easy, by the classic route, a winding path progressing in successive stages towards the geodesic point (4167m), very wide view of the Anti-Atlas , the pre-Saharan massifs and the plain of Marrakech. Descent by the north route and overnight in the village of Aroumd.
